The efas annual conference on 4 December 2026 in Berlin focuses on feminist economics of public finance in the context of Germany’s current fiscal debates — from special funds and the debt brake to cuts in social spending and underinvestment in public infrastructure. The conference asks how public budgets can be examined through a gender justice lens, and what a feminist fiscal and tax policy must demand.
Alongside invited experts, the conference welcomes abstract submissions for ten-minute short presentations on the conference theme. The annual open research forum also offers early-career researchers the opportunity to present ongoing or recently completed work as a talk or poster.
