Leadership skills are essential for postdocs who are or will be responsible for research groups and projects. This four-hour introductory workshop, offered by the Berlin Leadership Academy in cooperation with the Postdoc School of the Berlin University Alliance, familiarises participants with key leadership concepts and tools grounded in scientific research. Topics include managing diverse teams, fostering motivation and dealing with conflicts.
The workshop combines theoretical input with practical examples and exercises, and is aimed specifically at postdoctoral researchers with little or no prior leadership experience. Places are limited to 18 participants.
