Securing third-party funding is a key element of a successful academic career. This workshop, led by Astrid Schmitz — independent trainer and consultant for research funding and university strategy with long-standing experience at RWTH Aachen — guides participants through the four phases of successful grant application: development, planning, writing and submission. Participants gain insights into the review processes and funding options of various funding organisations, and develop individual strategies using checklists, AI tools and relevant databases.
Please note that attendance at both sessions is mandatory, as they build on each other. A task completed between the two dates will be addressed in the second session.
