Further information
A systematically built network is the foundation for a successful career in science. Networking in academia amounts to building and maintaining inter-/intradisciplinary (work) relationships and diverse collaborations, which can be of considerable importance throughout your career. TIN people and cis women in particular can benefit from an empowering network, according to various studies.
The interdisciplinary FEMPOWER event series “Wissen(schaftler*innen)verbinden (Frauen & TIN)” (Connecting Scholars (Women & TIN)) will offer extensive input on the topic of networking in academia, as part of a monthly “lunch lecture” format. The aim of the event series is to sensitise women & TIN researchers to their role and to networking opportunities. From communication to visibility in digital networks to networking in your research group or at conferences, experts will explain the most important areas of academic networking and make them easy to use.
