Further information
At a time of growing threats to democracy and increasing social polarisation, universities are facing significant budget cuts that particularly affect marginalised groups and put developments in diversity and inclusion at risk. Against this backdrop, this event addresses urgent questions around how equal opportunities can be safeguarded and advanced under conditions of austerity, how indicators for diversity, anti-discrimination and equality can be taken into account in funding decisions, and how diversity can be understood as a core responsibility of higher education institutions.
The discussion includes perspectives from Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin, Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin and Universität der Künste Berlin.
The event will be interpreted into German Sign Language. Accessibility information regarding building access is available via the UdK Berlin accessibility guidance. The event is organised by Universität der Künste Berlin in cooperation with Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin, Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht Berlin and Technische Universität Berlin.
