Commitments to gender equality, accessibility and diversity have become widespread in organisational self-descriptions — yet translating these commitments into practice remains a challenge. Increasingly, organisations draw on external standards, audits and certifications to make diversity measurable and comparable. This conference asks what possibilities such instruments open up, and what effects arise when diversity is defined and assessed through standardised procedures — particularly against the backdrop of current political shifts.
The conference is supported by the Margherita-von-Brentano-Zentrum (MvBZ) and the Arbeitsgruppe Gender Studies of Freie Universität Berlin. Participation is free of charge.
