he German Association of University Women (DAB) celebrates 100 years since its founding with a two-day symposium in Berlin. Among its founding members were Marie-Elisabeth Lüders and Agnes von Zahn-Harnack, and prominent figures including Lise Meitner and Elisabeth Selbert were early members of the association.

The programme features keynote speeches by leading women from science, technology and medicine, including Prof. Dr. Ute Klammer, Prof. Dr. Alena Buyx, Prof. Dr. Lucie Flek and Prof. Dr. Dr. med. Esther Troost, with a welcome address by Federal Minister of Research, Technology and Space Dorothee Bär. The symposium also marks the 40th anniversary of the Working Group Women in Science and Technology, a DACH_NL Friendship Meeting, the Meet and Greet of University Women Europe and the 20th Meeting of the European Women Pharmacists. Cultural excursions include guided tours in Berlin and Potsdam.
