Designing events that are welcoming to the broadest possible spectrum of people is both a matter of justice and a professional necessity. This full-day workshop, offered by the BUA Postdoc School, updates participants’ knowledge of diversity competence and brings together criteria of societal diversity with the practicalities of professional event planning. Using the Doppelpunkt implementation tool, participants receive concrete guidance for their future work.
The workshop is led by Sonja Basjmeleh and Frieda Wirtz of Doppelpunkt, who have been working creatively and critically on diversity-sensitive project and event planning since 2018, with experience across more than 100 events, seminars and workshops.
