The fifth annual Pride Symposium at the Max Delbrück Center invites participants to explore the histories, historical developments and diverse cultures of trans and gender-nonconforming people, while acknowledging the solidarity that sustains trans communities today. The programme also creates space to address current challenges and uncertainties faced by trans people within and beyond academia.
Through scientific talks and discussions, the event brings together diverse perspectives for listening, learning and reflection across disciplines, experiences and identities. Confirmed speakers are Braedyn Ezra Simon Schertenlieb (Freie Universität Berlin), Ketil Slagstad MD PhD (Charité) and Prof. Dr. Sofia Kirke Forslund-Startceva (Max Delbrück Center and Charité). The symposium concludes with a get-together.
