Further information
This online impulse lecture focuses on the impact of care work in the academic profession. The session examines how care responsibilities influence academic career paths and explores discriminatory structures at individual, institutional, and societal levels. Particular attention is given to the interconnections between gender, care work, and social inequality in science and beyond.
The lecture will address the effects of structural disadvantage and identify practical approaches for responding to these challenges within academic contexts. Following the input, participants are invited to share their experiences and perspectives in an open discussion.
Eva Gottwalles is a social scientist and social worker with more than ten years of experience as a coach, trainer, and consultant. Her areas of expertise include gender mainstreaming, diversity management, unconscious bias, and gender and diversity competence for specialists and leaders. The event is aimed at female master’s students, doctoral candidates, and postdocs.
