“Setting Sail for Mental Health” is a Berlin University Alliance training module designed to support doctoral candidates in strengthening resilience and maintaining mental health during the demands of the doctoral journey. The workshop combines approaches from Positive Psychology, Happiness Research, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Resilience Coaching to help participants manage stress, build inner stability, and develop constructive mindsets.

The core of the programme is a two-day in-person workshop on 11 and 12 March 2026 at the Umwelt Bildungszentrum Berlin, followed by a three-week deepening phase with weekly mini online meetings and a follow-up session on 10 April 2026. The training addresses topics such as identifying personal resources, building supportive structures and habits, setting work-life boundaries, dealing with self-doubt, strengthening social support, and preventing crises.

The module is aimed at doctoral candidates of all disciplines within the Berlin University Alliance. The course is conducted in English and German in parallel groups; registration is required and places are limited.
