The IFiF-Impulse lecture series presents research findings from projects funded under the BMFTR initiative “Innovative Frauen im Fokus,” exploring how scientific institutions and companies can make innovative women more visible in academia and beyond.

In this edition, Prof. Dr. Martina Erlemann, Andrea Boßmann and Tamar Grosz (Freie Universität Berlin) present first results from the project WomenInQuantumTech. The lecture examines how implicit inclusion and exclusion processes within scientific communities shape the visibility of women in quantum technologies — one of today’s key emerging fields. The speakers argue that improving visibility requires not only individual strategies but structural and cultural change within research communities themselves.
