Sexual harassment at work affects people differently. Experiences of discrimination based on gender, disability, racial attributions or sexual orientation can both increase the risk of harassment and make it harder to access support. The digital Fachtag of the project “make it work!” addresses exactly this challenge, examining how prevention and protection concepts can be designed to reflect the diverse realities of employees.
The programme includes a presentation of the current study “sexism at the work place (Sexismus am Arbeitsplatz) by Anna Sive (Bündnis gegen Sexismus, EAF), a keynote by Lunia Hara on why reporting channels alone cannot create a culture of trust, and a panel discussion with Dr. Bontu Lucie Guschke, Beatrice Gómez (Weibernetz e.V.) and Heike Fritzsche (Antidiskriminierungsstelle des Bundes) on how intersectional approaches can be more effectively embedded in prevention and protection work. The event is open to all interested parties. Participation is free of charge. Sign language interpretation and Easy Language interpretation are provided.
