The network of female economists efas invites scholars to submit talk and poster ideas for the 17th efas Symposium, which will address the topic of gender and digitalisation. The conference will take place on 6 December 2019 at the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (HTW) Berlin.

The organisers are interested in contributions that address questions like the following: What are the different economic processes that are discussed under the heading of digitalisation? How do men and women shape these processes in various ways? What logic and whose interests underlie these processes? Equally welcome are contributions that discuss how business-internal working processes change as a result of these economic processes and what influence this has on gender relations in business and/or on the employment of women on the wider economic level. Analyses of changes in care work that result from digitalisation and their effects on caretakers and those in need of care are also of interest. Furthermore, contributions are sought that address how everyday life and lifestyles are changed by digitalisation processes and what changes this brings to gender relations.

The deadline for submissions is 15 August 2019. Please send your proposals for talks or posters relating to the above-mentioned topics to the efas office via email (max. one page PDF).

Poster contributions for the research forum of the efas Conference 2019 are also sought.
