Join this lunch talk titled “Redefining Success, Excellence, and Inclusion in Academia: An Antiracist and Diversity-Sensitive Perspective”

The objective of this panel is to critically examine and redefine the concepts of success, excellence, and inclusion in academic settings, challenging traditional notions of meritocracy from an antiracist and diversity-sensitive perspective. The discussion will explore how organizational policies, cultural norms, and societal values influence and shape academic institutions, with a focus on promoting more inclusive and equitable environments for all status groups, from students to faculty. It will provide a comparative assessment of strategies in the US and in Germany.
