How can the diversity of students be taken into account in instruction in STEM fields? How can it be developed in didactics and methodology? How can diversity-oriented teaching content be included in STEM subjects? Diversity in STEM teaching means considering differences in gender, learning styles, learning preferences, learning experiences, social and cultural background, ethnicity, experiences, interests, and competencies of students – in both the planning and the execution of courses. Taking the diversity of students into account requires a diversity of methods.

In this course, participants will work on the theoretical aspects of diversity, as well as possible didactic, methodical, and content-based offers and approaches for instruction in the various STEM fields. The goal is the development of diversity-oriented instruction in STEM.

Participants should bring their own teaching concepts or plans, as there will be time to work on them in online working groups or alone.
