Getting more girls and young women excited about STEM fields — that’s an important issue for the federal government. With “Success in STEM — New opportunities for women”, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) aims to support research and implementation projects in order to increase the number of women in (academic) STEM professions and courses of study and bring about a change in academic and company culture in the STEM field.
The BMBF invites you to participate in a discussion about the key results of the project and the resulting strategies for taking action.
After the event is opened by the Parliamentary State Secretary Dr. Michael Meister MbB, there will be a report and discussion of the insights acquired — which communication strategies are suited to convincing girls and young women to take up professions in the (academic) STEM field. In the course of the conference, questions such as the following will also be addressed: how gender stereotypes in the STEM job market can be overcome and which measures contribute to that, and how to shape the digital revolution in a gender-fair and diversity-sensitive way.
