This interactive short online workshop is designed for researchers at risk, including alumni of the Berlin University Alliance. Many researchers establish themselves in the German academic system while navigating legal, professional, and personal challenges. This session provides a structured space to reflect on career opportunities – both within and beyond academia – while considering the specific uncertainties that researchers at risk face.
Through peer exchange, guided reflection, and expert input, participants will:
- Explore the probabilities of staying in academia and realistic career trajectories.
- Identify alternative career paths in research-related fields.
- Discuss key challenges, such as legal hurdles, networking, and emotional resilience.
- Reflect on personal strengths, motivations, and values in career decision-making.
