Student diversity is part of the reality of everyday university life. Participants in courses bring different backgrounds and perspectives into the classroom, resulting also from experiences of discrimination and privilege in social structures of inequality. Why does this matter for your teaching?
This workshop provides you with knowledge regarding the legal framework of the matter while focusing on specific situations in courses.
This event is part of the BIH Diversity Month 2025. This year, a whole month will be dedicated to diversity, equality and, in particular, inclusion. The aim is not only to raise awareness of existing inequalities, but also to work actively to reduce them.
The Diversity Month programme offers a range of inspiring events in a variety of formats – from interactive workshops and social activities to scientific lectures. This year’s focus is on inclusion. Other important areas will be highlighted as appropriate at a later date.
The events will be held in German and/or English and will be available in face-to-face, online and hybrid formats.
