What makes the German research landscape tick? As a postdoc, you bring with you many qualifications that you can use for your career in science, but also in business or other institutions. Find out which option you want to pursue for your next career step and get ready for the working world 4.0!

Taking an international perspective, the workshop aims to help postdocs as early career researchers to assess their current position and reflect their career goals. The workshop is designed to facilitate career decision-making in a highly competitive work environment characterised by project funding and temporary employment contracts.

Goal:

By participating in this workshop, you will be better equipped to

  • navigate the German research and innovation landscape,
  • understand the career system in academia and non-university research,
  • identify potential career opportunities beyond research and teaching,
  • recognise the building blocks for sustainable career development,
  • prepare your next career move.
