Presentation of Toolbox for Operationalizing Gender Diversity in Quantitative Health Research
To ensure the best possible health promotion and care, it is necessary to adequately capture gender diversity in its variability, fluidity, and intersectionality at both somatic and social levels. However, the practical implementation of this insight often fails due to methodological challenges.
This is where the interdisciplinary research project DIVERGesTOOL, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Health, centers around. In collaboration with researchers of large cohort studies in Germany, an application-oriented toolbox for operationalizing gender diversity for quantitative health research was developed in a participatory manner from 2020 – 2023.
