Further information and programme
Every year the FidAR Forum takes on current discussions from politics and the economy, and 2021 is no different. The corona crisis has drawn increased attention to the importance of work-life balance. In Germany, the government coalition has agreed on a gender quota for boards of directors. This new law is supposed to pass before the coming election. And whereas German elections are still to come, the victory of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris has signalled a positive development for gender equality in the US.
We’re living in times of change and times in which we can and must enact change – and this includes paving the way for women in leadership positions. Let’s learn from each other – economy, politics, and research; in Germany and internationally – in order to more quickly achieve our goals!
The programme includes a video message from Chancellor Angela Merkel and keynotes from Minister of Women and Family affairs Franziska Giffey and Foreign Minister Heiko Maas.
