Female students are still underrepresented in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). To increase female participation in your discipline, consider organising programmes that engage young women and inspire them about your subject. This also provides a valuable opportunity to enhance your mentoring and role model skills as a female researcher.

Please note that events such as Girls’ Day, Girls’ Academies and Summer Schools for girls can be funded through equal opportunity funds only if the project description and documentation clearly state that promoting of women scientists as role models and mentors is the primary goal.
