Since 2010, the Office of the Chief Gender Equality Officer at Freie Universität Berlin has offered the continuing education program FUTURA in cooperation with the Centre for Continuing Education at Freie Universität Berlin. It is aimed at equal opportunity actors at universities and in academia, in particular decentralised and central women’s and equal opportunity officers.
As a part of the two-year programme, participants acquire knowledge, skills, and methodological tools for complex and challenging gender equality work at universities and research institutions. The four modules cover topics ranging from technical and content-related issues to the training of communication, mediation and conflict-solving skills. FUTURA thrives on the lively exchange and experience of participants, who use the programme to expand their gender equality network.
The 2022 – 2024 programme will start in May 2022 and will include four modules, each of which will consist of two to three training events. A total of nine events will be offered over the course of two years. Most events last two days. There are two selection dates for each event.
Registration for the entire program, for individual modules, and for individual events is possible at any time. For most events, there is one date online and one date as a face-to-face event.
