The climate for studying and working as a woman in STEM fields has changed significantly in recent years. The spread of digital technologies is changing our everyday life and contributes both to increasing flexibility and the breaking down of barriers in the working world. As a result of these changes, new professional prospects are opening up for young women. At the same time, their role in the development of technology is becoming more and more important. It’s been shown that measures for promoting women in STEM have had initial success and the numbers of female students and graduates in STEM subjects have increased slightly in recent years.
