On the occasion of this years’s UN Day of Women and Girls in (Natural) Science, members of Universität Potsdam’s Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty present this innovative event. Students will introduce various female natural scientists in the form of 15-minute lectures, discussing their career development and their contributions to their respective disciplines. This interdisciplinary event aims to increase the visibility of women in the natural sciences.

The scientists being presented are: Sophie Germain, Marie Curie, Maria Sybilla Merian, Ada Lovelace, Emmy Noether, and Elsie Franklin.

Pupils are particularly welcome at the event, as well as entire school classes with teacher. (In this case, please RSVP to the organisers.)
