Women are excellently educated in Germany. They are at least as successful as men in educational qualifications up to and including the doctorate. Contrarily to this at the other levels, for example post-doctoral degrees, professorships and, in particular, management positions, the proportion of women does not correspond to the proportion of well-qualified women.

This panel discussion will focus on the question of what needs to happen further at German universities in order to jointly make gender parity possible by 2030. How can the momentum and pace needed for this be achieved? What has already been achieved? What are the biggest challenges and what hurdles remain? What are the key starting points and measures to drive structural and cultural change?

The discussion will also be open to questions from the audience as well as to online participants who join the streaming event.
