This year, the Fachstelle TIN is offering three online introductory workshops on gender diversity. The aim is to reduce reservations, gain knowledge and achieve confidence in dealing with inter*, trans* and (other) non-binary people in a non-discriminatory way.
At the beginning of the introductory workshop, common terms surrounding TIN will be looked at more closely and sorted so that all participants arrive at a similar level of knowledge. We will then address the everyday realities and experiences of discrimination of gender-diverse people, in order to work out together how discrimination-sensitive approaches to trans*, inter* and (other) non-binary people can be established in your actions as a part of an organisation or professional context.
These workshops are primarily aimed at professionals and institutions from Berlin (including the surrounding area). If you are interested in participating and do not live in Berlin, please contact the organisers, who will help find a solution together. Otherwise, everyone who is interested in dealing with inter*, trans* and (other) non-binary realities of life and making their own actions more inclusive can participate. Prior knowledge is not required. Rather, there should be room in the workshop to address and work through one’s own uncertainties.
