The new inter-university certificate program “Gender & Diversity in Science & Technology Studies” will start in the Berlin University Alliance in the summer semester 2024. The program is open to students from Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Certificate teaching programs offer excellent teaching for students of all alliance partners.

The “Gender & Diversity in Science & Technology Studies” certificate program is offered in two thematic areas: The “Focus on STEM” aims to transfer concepts, theories and findings from gender and diversity research to mathematics, computer science and scientific and technical subjects, while the “Focus on Humanities” aims to open up gender and diversity research to STEM topics. Both specializations can also be combined for in-depth study. Each is offered with either a total of 15 ECTS credits (standard) or a total of 18 ECTS credits (extension). Like all certificate programs in the Berlin University Alliance, the new offer can be found in the electronic course catalogs of Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
