Whether it’s at work, among friends, in your neighbourhood, in political or activist circles, or at the gym – racism is all present and often not recognised. Good will alone often isn’t enough to avoid making discriminatory statements or acting in a prejudiced way. Recognising racism, changing one’s own behaviour, and influencing wider societal structures requires the ability to reflect on your own position. This workshop offers a space for white people who would like to work on the topic of racism to talk and reflect on themselves and their everyday behaviour. The workshop will focus on providing an introduction to the topic and allowing for participants’ own processes of examining themselves.
