The first important milestone for female researchers who want to become professors is the qualification phase, in which they work as a “wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin”, junior professor, or as a stand-in for a professor. An integral part aside from the scientific work is also “networking” – an aspect scientists should be most attentive of. The success of the second stage – the application phase – heavily relies on strong and professional self-representation. Finally, should the researcher be given the opportunity for professorship, the third phase consists of negotiations about salary and equipment.

In this online seminar advisors will provide first practical hints for the most important qualifications for a professorship, a successful application, as well as optimised negotiation skills, based on their own experiences.
