On the occasion of its 10-year anniversary, the Centre for Gender and Applied Sciences (Gender- und Technik-Zentrum) at Beuth Hochschule für Technik is hosting a day of lectures and workshops. Some highlights from the program include the following sessions:
- “Profession Professur”, which aims to give participants insight into possible career paths and processes and answers questions about being a professor
- “Geht es auch anders? – Neue Ansätze in der Lehre”, which addresses the need for teachers to reflect on their own gender stereotypes
- “Siri & Alexa – Warum nicht Simon und Alex?”, which explores how gender cliches are reproduced in technology
- “Neue Rahmenbedingungen an Hochschulen – Neue Ansätze digitale Kompetenzen gendersensibel zu integrieren”, which addresses the question of how institutions of higher education can impart digital competencies in a gender-sensitive way.
