The project Gendering STEM Digital aims to incorporate insights from scientifically oriented gender research into STEM fields. Subproject II develops open educational resources that raise awareness of the relevance of gender in STEM subjects, spread gender-related knowledge, and encourage researchers and students in the natural and technical sciences to reflect on gender-related topics in their fields. Subprojects I and III offer interactive web documentaries and participatory mediographies, with the aim of feeding a dialogue between gender research and STEM.
In this virtual symposium, the project wishes to discuss these developments and associated possibilities for the future of Gendering STEM Digital. The symposium will take place over the course of two weeks. During this time, the open educational resources and participatory mediographies will be available online to view, try out, and provide feedback on. On 2-3 September, there will be a live digital conference, in which participants can dive deeper into Gendering STEM and related topics.
