In order to be able to win over and convince others in academia for your ideas and projects, you have to present clearly, accurately and credibly. In addition to your personal charisma, this involves having effective presentation tools, a wide range of methodological skills, rhetorical and narrative skills, and above all, practice.
Content:
- Analysis and reflection of individual impact and presentation behaviour
- Basic pillars and rules for effective presentations
- Practice of addressee-oriented speech structures
- Dramaturgical structure and suspense
- The power of conscious language and style
- Principles of storytelling
- Important components for effective storytelling
- Exercises in linguistic and non-verbal storytelling, language variance, and the power of images
- Structuring a target group-oriented story and dramaturgical staging
- The importance of metaphors and powerful images for concrete situations
Methods:
- Instructional discussion, case studies from everyday professional life, creative methods, methods from acting direction, methods from rhetoric and dialectics, individual/group work, role simulations, discussion and feedback talks, video feedback if necessary
