The Beuth Hochschule für Technik (University of Applied Sciences) will be filling around 60 professorships in the next 5 years — a great career opportunity for female researchers.

This workshop will inform participants about what is taken to consideration in an application for a professorship. Recommendations will be given on how to present your career thus far and behind-the-scenes insights will be given into the application process.

Questions such as the following will be addressed:

  • What methods are available for presenting your professional background in a convincing way in conversations?
  • How are different professional periods are counted?
  • Does self-employment count, and if so, how?
  • How can you apply for positions if you don’t fulfil all the criteria listed in the advert?

Interested participants can get an impression of Beuth Hochschule in an exclusive tour, including a lab visit. (If you’re interested, please indicate this when you register.)
