Further information
This lecture series will explore the question of what Critical Diversity Studies looks like in a postcolonial 21st century. What influence does Audre Lorde continue to exert on the conceptualisation of radically inclusive diversity studies today? How are marginalised groups who have little social power involved as active agents in processes of institutionalising diversity? How are they involved in decolonizing white and Western-centred knowledge structures? How do skills in Critical Diversity enable new didactic frameworks?
The lecture series Intersectional Diversity Studies: Critical Diversity and Gender Studies in the 21st Century inaugurates the first Berlin University Alliance (BUA) Visiting Professorship, the Audre Lorde Visiting Professorship in Intersectional Diversity Studies in the Diversity and Gender Equality Network (DiGENet). It is hosted by Prof. Dr. Maisha M. Auma, Visiting Professor of Intersectional Diversity Studies in the Diversity and Gender Equality Network
Equality Network (DiGENet) of the Berlin University Alliance.
