Further information
Gender and diversity along with gender equality and anti-discrimination are topics currently being dealt with at institutions of higher education, giving rise to new challenges for education and academic careers. If we approach these challenges consciously, we have the chance to initiate a change in the culture of institutions of higher education. This lecture series takes up these challenges and topics as its subject matter, presenting new research on the dismantling of discrimination and the establishing of equal opportunities at institutions of higher education. It will also introduce examples of successful diversity measures and strategies. The lecture series will also handle the topic of diversity from the perspective of digitalisation, which has gained in significance in the context of the corona crisis. Guest lecturers working on theory and practice will present and discuss their work. Students and employees from all fields of study are invited to take part in the lecture series. In addition, it’s also aimed at those involved in gender research, those working in equal opportunities, and actors in the area of gender and diversity.
