This panel discussion focuses on the gender publication gap caused by the pandemic. International studies show that due to Corona scientists with family care work were significantly restricted in their publication activities.

Are academic careers in danger due to care work? What do pandemic-related disadvantages actually mean for early-career researchers? What measures can be taken to mitigate the gender publication gap and how can this be adequately taken into account in the performance evaluation of young researchers?

These are some of the questions that will be discussed with the panel.
