Further information
What does does gender have to do with success in STEM fields? What opportunities do subjects like chemistry, physics, and IT offer for women and men? How can barriers in the cultures of STEM subjects be recognised and overcome in networks instead of alone?
In this workshop, participants will reflect on obstacles and opportunities for support for PhD students and postdocs. An emphasis is placed on structural barriers instead of supposedly individual deficits, and strategies for mutual support will be worked towards. In this connection, participants’ career paths will be related to other career biographies, and networking work will be used as an instrument for empowerment.
